2026-08-23  Wellbeing Wander

Join us at RSPB St Aidans on Wednesday 26th August for our monthly Wellbeing Wander. Take a gentle stroll accompanied by our volunteer rangers. No more than a mile and lasts about an hour. Please meet outside the Little Owl Cafe for 11am. It is a free event and everyone is welcome. 

2026-08-21  Performers Wanted

Bowers Allerton Hall are holding their annual summer fair on Sunday September 27th. They are looking for groups to perform through the day for their guests to aid their regeneration fundraising efforts. In the past they have had Bhangra dancers, ukelele groups, wind bands, choirs, dance troupes, cheer leaders and much more.

Boots Kippax Winter Flu jab service is now available to book for this year. Private jabs starting from the 22nd of September onwards and free NHS jabs begin in October. Get yours booked now before they?re gone by either ringing the store on 01132862585 

2026-08-19  Kippax Yard Sale

Only two weeks to go to Kippax Yard Sale Trail on Bank holiday Monday. 31st August. 43 addresses have now registered to take part. If you want to hold a yard sale email yard.sale@ kippax-pc.gov.uk to add your address to the map. 

2026-08-17  Could It Be Magic

Kippax Band Social Club presents Could It Be Magic on 10th and 11th October at 7.30pm. Tickets including buffet dinner are ?15. Call 07761 033455 for more information and tickets. 

2026-08-16  Ukelele Workshop

There is a Family Ukelele Workshop at Kippax Community Hub and Library on Tuesday 18th August from 10.30 to 11.30am. It is apay what you decide event for the family recommended for children aged 6+. All children must be accompanied by an adult. 

2026-08-15  Learn Jujitsu

If you have kids thinking of starting a martial art or you want to, Leeds Samurai Martial Arts meets from 6-7pm on Thursday at John Smeaton leisure centre and 6-7pm Friday at Kippax Leisure Centre. 

2026-08-14  EE Appeal Mast Decision

EE have lodged an appeal against the refusal of the proposed mast opposite Kippax Library. Their grounds are that they have been served a removal notice for the existing mast on the snooker club roof, so the proposal is for a replacement mast not an additional one. 

2026-08-10  Fire Risk

RSPB are banning BBQs, camping stoves and open fires on all RSPB reserves and visitors are asked to refrain from smoking due to the fire risk. If you see a fire at a RSPB site dial 999 immediately 

2026-08-10  Knit and Natter

There will be a Knit and Natter at Kippax Methodist Church on Thursday 13th August from 2pm to 4pm. Tea or coffee and cake ?2
